Faye + Lowell Jupiter Next Portland Hotel - Portland Wedding - Han Oak
Faye and Lowell wanted their wedding to feel intimate, relaxed, and sophisticated. They adore Portland and wanted their guests to have a unique experience. Getting ready at Portland’s Jupiter NEXT with its grand views of Portland was perfectly in the center of Portland action. The inspiring vast views of the classic Central Eastside to the gorgeous West Hills down to the new Tilikum Bridge gave their guests a lovely peek into Portland’s character. After spending quality time at the Jupiter NEXT, Faye and Lowell had their ceremony in the courtyard of their condo in NE Portland followed by a reception at the award winning restaurant Han Oak.
Galen + Carl Castaway Wedding - Portland - Pearl District
These two fabulous humans reached out to us while we were visiting family in California so we skyped. Although we always prefer to meet in person we immediately loved their smiles and laughter. Once we learned more about the day they wanted to create we could tell they wanted a relaxed but meaningful day full of love and friendship. They were not focused on decor or the details, they were focused on the moments. So that was what they were also looking for in the Photography. Candids of all the fun and celebration and the connection between.
Sara + Wes Timberline Lodge Wedding - Silcox Hut - Winter Wedding
Sara and Wes style was very “Northwest” rustic and earthy. They both had never envisioned a traditional wedding, and when they toured Silcox Hut at the top of Mt Hood they knew right away that they wanted to get married there. Their aim was to bring together the people they love most for a unique night on Mt Hood all together. Since the Hut is so unique and incredible on it’s own the planned for decorations that fit in with the feel of the hut and let the venue speak for itself. They love a creative photography and wanted to bring in some artistic flair and vision to their wedding.
Cait + Erik Mt Hood Organic Farms Wedding - Hood River - Oregon
Cait and Erik both live in DC and they LOVE living in the city, walking/biking everywhere, trying new restaurants, and local markets, but also love getting outside the city for adventures, such as camping, hiking, and skiing. Portland and Mt. Hood specifically are special for them in so many ways.
When choosing a venue they wanted to incorporate Mt. Hood. They both work part time at a winery in Virginia and love the feel of being out in the country. The Mt Hood Organic Farms is by far one of the best venues in Oregon with it’s stunning real functioning farm/orchard feel and stunning views of Mt Hood. Mt Hood Organic farms was their perfect fit.
Megan + Aisaku Mt Hood Organic Farms Wedding - Hood River - Oregon
The sky and sun shined brightly in Hood River on this elegant summer day. If you sat still you heard the views sing a soft melody composed of wind in the trees and a river rushing by. The scenery was a highlight, but really nothing compared to the subtle yet lovingly expressive joy that poured from Megan all day or Aisaku’s giant smile and contagious laugh which leapt out of him almost uncontrollably.
Jen + Brandon Exchange Ballroom Wedding - Urban Wedding - Portland
The best way to describe Jen and Brandon is fun, relaxed while possessing a distinctive radiant and warm presence. When they are not laughing or making us smile they report that their active personalities keep them biking, hiking, camping, listening to live music, exploring and traveling.
Jen’s sister hand made the beautiful wedding gown and we grinned from ear to ear watching the two of them discuss the process of making it. What a lovely gift to be able to give a loved one. Getting ready was simply fun at the Hotel Eastlund and flowed onto an open air patio first look on the roof top bar.
Jen + Rod Manzanita Wedding - Oregon Coast
When we were invited by Jen and Rod to photograph their intimate wedding along the raw beauty of the Oregon Coast in Cove Beach (by Arch Cape) we were suddenly overwhelmed with extraordinary honor. In addition to their passion for the arts (they both work in the tv biz – Jen is a producer and Rod is an Emmy-award winning director of photography) we immediately felt their deep love for…
